5 “Someday” Tasks To Do This Weekend

Have you finished all of Netflix and are looking for something to do this weekend that doesn’t involve deep cleaning your house? Now is the perfect time to complete the tasks that you have been putting off until “someday.” Guess what? That day has arrived!

Call a person you haven’t spoken to in forever

All of us have friends and family members that we have not spoken to in a long time. There is probably no specific reason for this besides being busy. Now that everyone is at home, it is the perfect time to reach out to them again. Hearing a familiar voice can be very comforting during this time of uncertainty. Remember the golden rule: Don’t FaceTime someone without a fair warning!

Declutter your bedroom this weekend

There are several ways to declutter your bedroom. The easiest way to do this is to find the least used items in your bedroom and ask yourself a few questions. The questions are: Is this taking up space that could be used for something else? Do I want to keep this item next year? Everything in your bedroom should be something that you need or something that you love. Get rid of everything else. For items that you want to keep but are used less often, store them in less accessible places.

Read that book that you have been meaning to read

Most of us have a long list of books that have been recommended to us or that have been meaning to read. They may be stored in your Kindle, already on your shelf, or just in your Amazon wish list. This weekend is the perfect time to at least start reading those books. Give yourself some grace when reading books. If you don’t like it, just put it down and read something else. There are no prizes for finishing bad books.

Organize your closet

Start organizing your closet by changing out your seasonal wear. As the weather gets warmer, move your coats and boots to the back of the closet so that you can more easily access your warmer weather clothing. Next, get rid of clothing that you haven’t worn in the last season and don’t plan to wear in the next one.

Once you are left with the clothes that you will actually wear, organize your closet in a way that makes it easy for you to find everything. Keep the items that you wear the most often in front and center.

Get to inbox zero

Deleting old emails is something that you can do while sitting on the couch and binge-watching your latest addiction. Getting to zero may be an impossible task, but you can at least clean out your email to get to a reasonable number. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and do the best you can with this one.
