Maximize your tools

You don’t need a separate room for an office, but you do need a dedicated space where you will work. Your homework space should have all of the working tools that you need. Make sure you have all of the tools that you need to do your job. Make sure you have a laptop, VPN, monitor, and any other essential tools for working.

Use a dedicated space in your home from work. This will also help you disconnect when work is over. You don’t want your work to overflow into every aspect of your life. A separate space will make working from home much more manageable.

Keep a routine

Keeping a routine is critical for working from home. Without a commute, there are no defining lines between work and home. Plus, you can keep hitting snooze on your alarm without much consequence. That makes it easy to fall into the trap of oversleeping and wearing pajamas all day long.

During this time, you can find a quick YouTube workout or do a routine of squats, burpees, and jumping jacks. This will get your heart rate up and help you stay focused during your working blocks.

Stay connected

Working from home can be very isolating. Therefore, it is extra important to work at staying connected with friends and family. Call and text your friends and family and schedule times for Zoom calls and other interactions. This will help with the feeling of loneliness that can come from working from home.
